Don’t miss the stamp duty holiday
The current stamp duty holiday comes to an end on 31st March 2021. It has provided an invaluable boost to the housing industry during the COVID-19 crisis, and driven mortgage approvals to levels not seen in over a decade.
Although many within the housing industry are calling on the government to extend this holiday, there is little indication that they are likely to agree to this request.

Highlights from the November 2020 property report:-
- House prices annual change percentage – September 2020 data
Greater London has had a recent surge with a 7.6% gain when compared to last year, this is the first time in several months where all Counties have shown an increase. - House prices annual change percentage – two year comparison (September 2020/19/18 data)
Rutland shows the most combined growth – 6.6% (2018), -1.4% (2019) & 14.6% (2020). - Sales trend Q3 2020 sales comparison by County
Counties were on average 0.1% up on last quarter but a staggering 70.9% down on Q3 2019. This huge downturn in sales was most likely down to the Coronavirus pandemic and its global effect on the nation. - Mortgage lenders – market share 2019
59.6% of all mortgage lending in the UK goes through the top five providers

Wales has shown a 2.9% gain when compared to last year, whereas the North East had a 1.2% loss. - House prices annual change percentage – two year comparison (August 2020/19/18 data)
Nottinghamshire shows the most combined growth – 5.3% (2018), 1.9% (2019) & 6.9% (2020). Leicestershire follows closely behind with 5.6% (2018), 3% (2019) and 5.3% (2020). - Sales trend Q2 2020 sales comparison by County
