The CON29DW Commercial is our brand-new drainage and water search for non-residential properties. Containing even more information than our CON29DW residential along with £10 million liability cover, the CON29DW Commercial is an essential purchase in any property transaction.

The CON29DW Commercial provides invaluable information regarding the drainage and water services at a given property. Compiled directly from Severn Trent Water records, the search includes detailed maps of public sewer and water mains, alongside a wealth of information regarding assets serving and affecting the property.

The search divides information into four simple categories:

  • Maps – plans showing public sewers, water mains and other assets including manholes, drains and pumping stations near the property.
  • Drainage – the search tells you if the property is connected to public drainage, their proximity to the property (including any within the property boundary – important for any development work), sewer flooding, adoption agreements, wayleaves, trade effluent agreements, as well as other important information.
  • Water – includes connection information, details of up to four water meters serving the property (with more available on request), proximity and status of water mains, as well as essential consumer information such as problems with water hardness or pressure.
  • Billing – We’ll tell you which companies are responsible for water and sewerage services at the property. We will also confirm if the property is likely to be billed by a retailer in the open water market or by the local water and sewerage company.

The CON29DW Commercial is fully endorsed by the Law Society and comes with £10 million liability cover, providing you with complete peace of mind. In addition, the comprehensive report is compiled from official water company records. And if you require further information on anything contained within the report, our staff can provide a comprehensive answer to any follow-up queries you may have, either directly, or through our access to Severn Trent Water’s team of experts.

If you’re not happy with your search

In the unlikely event that you’re not happy with our service, our full complaints procedure is detailed in the appendix of the CON29DW Commercial. If you make a complaint and we are unable to resolve it to your satisfaction, you may refer your complaint to an independent body of your choice. We will co-operate fully with the Ombudsman during an investigation and comply with their final decision.
