Severn Trent Searches hosts the Giving Tree for Christmas

The Severn Trent Searches team has been busy collecting Christmas presents for children who have fled their homes due to domestic abuse.

Our head office in Nottingham has been a Giving Tree Collection Point for the KidsOut charity. This means that employees, as well as local businesses, have been able to leave a Christmas present for children seeking safety in a refuge. The presents are stored securely in the office before being distributed to the children during the holiday season.

Highlights from the 2023 Q3 property report:-

  • House prices annual change percentage – August 2023 data
    An incredible 80% of UK Counties recorded a house price percentage loss this quarter when compared to last year, with only Yorkshire & The Humber and the East Midlands making a gain.
  • House prices annual change percentage – two year comparison (Aug 2023/22/21 data)
    Shropshire shows the most combined growth of 27.6% with Rutland slightly behind at 27.0%.
  • Sales trend Q2 2023 sales comparison by County
    Counties were on average 45.5% down on last quarter and 53.1% down on the previous year (Q2 2022).
  • Mortgage lenders – market share 2022
    Lloyds banking group still hold the number one spot with an 16.8% market share, despite dropping 1.3% from last year. Natwest Group, Nationwide, Santander and Barclays make up the remaining companies in the top five.

  • House prices annual change percentage – two year comparison (May 2023/22/21 data)
    Rutland shows the most combined growth of 30.7% with Derbyshire slightly behind at 27.0%.
  • Sales trend Q2 2023 sales comparison by County
    Counties were on average 45.5% down on last quarter and 53.1% down on the previous year (Q2 2022).
  • Mortgage lenders – market share 2022

    Some impressive gains from all Counties this quarter when compared to last year, with the West Midlands making an 8.9% gain followed by the South West at 6.9%. Greater London has achieved a negative growth of minus 1.8% in Q1.
  • House prices annual change percentage – two year comparison (Jan 2023/22/21 data)
    Shropshire shows the most combined growth of 31.6% with Cheshire East slightly behind at 29.4%.
  • Sales trend Q4 2022 sales comparison by County
    Counties were on average 5.6% down on last quarter and 14.3% down on the previous year (Q4 2021).
  • Mortgage lenders – market share 2021
    Lloyds banking group still hold the number one spot with an 18.1% market share, despite dropping 0.8% from last year. Barclays break into the top five with a 10.7% market share.

  • House prices annual change percentage – Nov 2022 data
    Some impressive gains from all Counties this quarter when compared to last year, with East Midlands making an 14.1% gain closely followed by the West Midlands at 13.7%. Greater London has achieved the smallest gain of just 1.5% in Q4.
  • House prices annual change percentage – two year comparison (Oct 2022/21/20 data)
    Nottinghamshire shows the most combined growth of 29.7% with Leicestershire slightly behind at 28.2%.
  • Sales trend Q3 2022 sales comparison by County
    Counties were on average 30.7% up on last quarter but 26.8% down on the previous year (Q3 2021).
  • Mortgage lenders – market share 2021
    Lloyds banking group still hold the number one spot with an 18.1% market share, despite dropping 0.8% from last year. Barclays break into the top five with a 10.7% market share.
