Here at Severn Trent Searches there’s nothing we enjoy more than producing lots of lovely CON29DWs. Honestly, we love it, we’d probably do it for free (note for any Severn Trent executives reading this, please don’t put this to the test). However, much as producing searches is our absolutely, utter, complete favourite thing in the world (is this fooling anyone?), we do occasionally like to do other things.

The search combines the information currently found in their popular Homecheck Ground Stability and Subsidence reports, both of which will be withdrawn from the same date.

Important changes to local authority searches from 1st April 2017

The government is to introduce VAT on the CON29 element of local authority searches during 2017. The cutoff date they have given to local authorities to make this change is Friday 31st March.

Whilst a number of authorities  have been charging for VAT since January, the majority will be introducing it from the beginning of April. We will be amending our prices accordingly from that date.
