The search combines the information currently found in their popular Homecheck Ground Stability and Subsidence reports, both of which will be withdrawn from the same date.

Important changes to local authority searches from 1st April 2017

The government is to introduce VAT on the CON29 element of local authority searches during 2017. The cutoff date they have given to local authorities to make this change is Friday 31st March.

Whilst a number of authorities  have been charging for VAT since January, the majority will be introducing it from the beginning of April. We will be amending our prices accordingly from that date.

Preparing for retail market opening in the water industry: Impacts for the Commercial Drainage and Water Enquiry

From April 2017, all non-household customers in England will be able to choose their supplier of water and sewerage retail services. This is a result of a change in the law under the Water Act 2014, designed to introduce competition into the water industry.
