Birmingham City Council have informed us they will be increasing the price of their LLC1 and CON29 searches from Sunday 1st July.

Stratford-On-Avon price increase
Stratford-On-Avon District Council have announced a price increase from Tuesday 8th May.
Their CON29 will increase from £84.50 to £89.50 (£107.40 incl. VAT). Other fees remain the same.
The new total prices are detailed in the table below:

Great news for local authority customers
Great news for our customers – our range of official local authority searches just got even cheaper.
From Sunday 1st April, we’ll be reducing our administration fee on searches to just £5 (£6 incl. VAT) for authorities throughout England and Wales.

Important changes to local authority searches from 1st April 2017
The government is to introduce VAT on the CON29 element of local authority searches during 2017. The cutoff date they have given to local authorities to make this change is Friday 31st March.
Whilst a number of authorities have been charging for VAT since January, the majority will be introducing it from the beginning of April. We will be amending our prices accordingly from that date.

Important changes to local authority searches from 1st January 2017
The government is to introduce VAT on the CON29 element of local authority searches during 2017. This will affect apply to all CON29R and CON29O questions. The LLC1 will remain exempt from VAT.
VAT has been applied from either 1st January, or by the beginning of April if councils are unable to meet the January deadline.
