Coal Authority price increase postponed

The Coal Authority price increase, scheduled for 1st April, has been postponed due to the current Coronavirus outbreak.

The information they have provided regarding this, and their current service status can be found below:

“We recognise during these unprecedented times that our customers may need some additional support and we want to do all that we can to help.

That’s why we have decided to pause our planned price increases from 1 April 2020 on all products and services for a period of 6 months.

Our business critical functions are continuing to operate as our employees are now working from home but we understand that just like for many of you, it is not business as usual at the moment.

We’re continually adapting the way that we are working as the situation develops. As many of our colleagues now have children at home and other caring responsibilities, we need to make changes to some of our services.

This means that we are now unable to access our paper records, which has the potential to affect our colleagues using historical coal mining information. Work undertaken using our electronic data will continue as usual.”
