Highways searches* highlight any potential access issues to a property. Whilst the standard local authority and land registry searches will show public highways and property boundaries, they don’t show any potential access problems. Our choice of three highways searches obtain information directly from local authorities.

HIGHWAYS ENQUIRY

  • Sourced from the relevant local authority, the search provides details of public and private roads around the property; the status of any land between the property and highway; current and proposed nearby road improvements, widening schemes, and road closure orders; as well as public rights of way affecting the property. Also contains a plan showing the extent of the highways and maintained roads which abut the property.

HIGHWAYS ENQUIRY ESSENTIAL

  • Sourced from the relevant local authority, the search provides details of public and private roads around the property as well as a plan showing the extent of the highways and maintained roads which abut the property.
