The government is to introduce VAT on the CON29 element of local authority searches during 2017. The cutoff date they have given to local authorities to make this change is Friday 31st March.
Whilst a number of authorities have been charging for VAT since January, the majority will be introducing it from the beginning of April. We will be amending our prices accordingly from that date.
VAT will apply to all CON29R and CON29O questions. The LLC1 will remain outside the scope of VAT.
In addition, a number of authorities will be making changes to their prices from April.
The table below shows prices from 1st April. We will be adding to this table regularly as more authorities notify us of their fees.
