On Wednesday 2nd March, Severn Trent Searches hosted
a free CPD seminar for Warwickshire Law Society Members. The event
held at Ryton Organic Gardens in Coventry, was the first joint venture
between the two organisations. New President Philip Costigan, said
that he was “delighted to see such a good turnout. We hope
to work closely with Severn Trent Searches and Landmark to deliver
similar future events, for the benefit of our members.”
The event covered environmental considerations and water and drainage
issues for residential properties, and earned attendees 1.5 CPD
points. The expert speakers were Mark Jarvis from Severn Trent and
Rob Carling from Landmark, with the welcome introduction delivered
by Philip. There was also time for an open discussion forum to cover
points raised in the presentation. The event was well attended and
was well received by the attendees. Jennie Haynes from Blythe Liggins
said “it was a very informative presentation, delivered by
knowledgeable guest speakers. Well worth attending.” Martin
Williams from Paynes agreed, saying “to my surprise I found
that the seminar was able to highlight areas of concern to purchasers
that I had never previously considered to be significant.”
Members will be kept informed of future events. If you have any
suggestions for topics, please Severn Trent Searches on 0115 962
