As part of our ongoing commitment to support local charities,
employees from Severn Trent Searches gave a Nottinghamshire charity
a splash of colour on Wednesday (22 June).
A team of employees from our Hucknall Road office spent Wednesday
at Shelter Nottinghamshire Housing Advice Centre painting four interview
rooms, as well as the large reception area.
Ten volunteers from the team painted the walls and ceilings, and
also donated a toy box for the reception area.
The Shelter Nottinghamshire Housing Advice Centre helps people
in the local community with housing needs such as those who are
homeless or who are poorly housed, by offering free and confidential
advice.
Adam Spencer, team manger for the staff involved explained, "Severn
Trent staff have been donating toys for the advice centre, and we've
also had generous assistance from Wilkinsons who have donated paint,
rollers and trays to help us out.
"It's a really rewarding project for all of us involved.
Of course it was hard work but it's for a great cause and we are
only too happy to help."
The day was organised between Severn Trent and Nottinghamshire
Cares, who provide team working opportunities for staff, whilst
sharing their skills to benefit the local community.
